St. Lucy to Preserve the Gift of Faith O most pure virgin, St. Lucy, you are venerated as protectress of those suffering from diseases of the eye. I ask you to safeguard me against spiritual blindness; help me always preserve in my soul the light of faith. Intercede for me that I may keep the eyes of my soul open only to the truth, the beauty and the goodness that surround me. I beseech you, O holy virgin, by virtue of the love you have for the truth, to grant me your powerful help to know the beauty of faith and the goodness and infinite mercy of God. Through your intercession may the eyes of my heart remain focused on those things that lead to true happiness here on earth, and lasting happiness in the life to come. Amen.
