Sta. Fe, Romblon - A Whale Shark had been trapped in Lambaklad (Lambat-Baklad) owned by Josel Galido located at boundary of two coastal Barangays in Guintigbasan and Guinbirayan in Municipality of Sta.Fe, Romblon this August 7, 2014 around 12:00 noon. According to Municipal Agriculturist Engr. Charlie T. Andres, Jr., the said incident was reported to him by the owner of Lambaklad. Further, the owner of Lambaklad also said that the trapped whale shark had been accompanied by another whale shark with the same size. Because of this, some personnel’s of Municipal Agriculture Office being led by Engr. Andres; the Mayor’s Office; and PNP-Municipal Police Station had formed a composite rescue team, proceeded and reached the said coastal area around 1:00 in the afternoon. Moreover, the rescue team had found difficulty in freeing the trapped whale shark that measured around 14 feet long. After two hours, the trapped whale shark had been released successfully outside Lambaklad without any untoward happening both from the rescue team and the whale shark. (Photo & Story by Engr.
