Stabbed in the eye with a thorn while scouting yesterday! Was following deer tracks thru some thick n nasty stuff. Had a brier whip me right in the eye, lid didnt close fast enough and had a big thorn get stuck in my cornea. Fifteen minute walk out of woods holding eyelid open. Then as Im driving home started to get nauseous, cold sweats and dizzy. Almost passed out driving...thank God I was near fire station and pulled in to get them to call EMTs. Apparently my blood pressure dropped from the trauma. Lucky I reacted quickly and didnt panic getting out of the woods. I usually get all scratched up from walking thru the thickest nastiest stuff in the woods but that was a first!
