Although Moosa is somewhat a pariah due to his past as a drunken womaniser, he holds an important position in the community. He takes care of a sacred horse Zojineh, who is at the centre of an annual ritual that draws in revenue from neighbouring provinces. Jaffar consults the village imam and council of elders who reject his request to save Moosa from his torment. Acting with disdain for the vilages governing bodies and with great love for his father, Jaffar takes matters into his own hands by releasing Zojineh into the wild.
