Staff Report ISLAMABAD: The four-member body tasked with holding negotiations with Taliban militants met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here today to chalk out future course of action, SAMAA reported Friday. On Wednesday, the PM in his address to the National Assembly offered talks to Taliban and constituted the body comprising Irfan Siddiqui‚ Rahimullah Yusufzai‚ Rustam Shah Mehmand and Major (retired) Amir. Sources said the four members called on the PM at Prime Minister House today and discussed with him the process of negotiations with banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other militant groups in order to restore peace in the country. The meeting, chaired by the PM himself, was also attended by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan who briefed the committee over so far progress in the negotiation process. Reports said the PM set guidelines for negotiations, saying that the committee is fully empowered to hold talks. He directed the members to immediately initiate negotiations with Taliban. - SAMAA
