Staffin Sheepdog Trials 2013. The annual Staffin Sheepdog Trials will be held as usual at Ellishadder on Friday 19th July 2013 starting at 9.am. All benefits from the trial will go towards Skye Cancer Care. Any donations are most greatly appreciated. We hope to have trialists from Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales and Europe, all taking part again on what has been described as one of the most challenging courses on the trials circuit. It is expected to have around 60 dogs of world class standard competing on day 6 of the Hebridean Circuit for the prestigious Shield, and over all championship for the Hebridean Cup to be decided on day 7 at Dunvegan. Among the competitors putting their dogs and shepherding skill to test will be past Scottish Champions Will Cormack, John MacKillop, Scott Renwick and current Scottish champion Ian Brownlie and reigning world champion James McGee from Ireland only to name but a few. We hope to have good food available, good raffle prizes and various stalls for you, so come and enjoy a good family day out and support a good cause.
