Stage 1 of La Route de France was a pretty uneventful day of racing until the last 20km with a slightly harder than expected climb and short, fast, technical finishing circuits. Tiffany and Emma were the only riders from Orica-AIS in the front group to cover the moves and make some attacks. It finished in a reduced size bunch kick as Tiffany helped lead out Emma who ended 3rd and retains the leaders jersey. Tiffany rolled in 11th.
