Stage 2 116km With a 20km cross wind along the coastal road to start, everyone was in no doubt what was to come! A leading group of 20 escaped, which included Wouter Sybrandy & Rhys Owen Paul Howells. The group was eventually caught after a long chase of 50kms on the 65 Ks per hour-wind assisted section. A day of action, with 3 punctures and lots of convoy manoeuvring certainly kept Michelle Buck busy. With 30 odd riders left in contention, the race split in the last few Ks with yet again the teams best rider on GC Wouter representing us. Wouter finishing the stage in 9th & moving him up to 6th on GC. Tom Neale led out by Steve Lampier took 3rd in the bunch sprint for 13th, with Steve close behind in 17th. Rhys & Rory Townsend followed soon after. I even made the results page, fined 100 Swiss francs!
