Stalbridge Cricket Club U11 Outlaws 248 for 10 beat Kilmington & Stourton 229 for 13 Will The Outlaws end with a 100% record? William Coleman lost the toss and Kilmington put us in. Who would have predicted our worst batting display of the season! We had it all, poor shot decisions, terrible running between the wickets. After 4 overs The Outlaws were 186-4 (negative figures, unheard of)and reeling badly but Josh Nancarrow (15 no) steadied the ship before another flurry of wickets left them 203-8 from 12 overs. Up step Luke McLaughlin (40) to power the score up to 248-10, although not without more scares!! Safe to say, Coach was not very happy!! But we had a little chat between innings and the boys realised that they needed to put in a lot of effort if they were to get anything out of it. The boys put in one the best bowling and fielding displays of the season, everyone contributed, there were five run outs, including two direct hits ( one by Matt Crosby from the square leg boundary!!), excellent wicketkeeping and bowling alike. Main contributors were William Coleman (2-10), Sam Pipe (2-20) and Will Collins (2-17).Man of the Match was Luke McLaughlin for a mature all round performance that sealed victory.Congratulations to all the boys who have played for The Outlaws, to finish the season unbeaten is a fantastic achievement!! stalbridgecc.co.uk/scorecard/fixtureID_311166/U11-Outlaws-v-Kilmington--Stourton-24-Jul-2013.aspx
