Stand therefore,having girded your waist with truth.... Eph 6:14 The word STAND in Ephesians 6 is the Greek, histemi which means, make firm, establish, cause a thing or person to keep its place,keep intact it also means to uphold or sustain the authority or force of something When the bible tells us to stand against the wiles of the enemy ,its an instruction to be firmly established,upholding the authority of the word of God. Many people waiver at the slightest opposition. The word has to be the final authority in your life, the bible says of Abraham that he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief but he was strong in faith giving glory to God Rom 4:20 Abraham established the word in the face of contrary physical evidence, when all the natural evidence said his wife was barren, Abraham said, I am father of many. He didnt change his confession, he dint say, Ooh God ,you have put me to shame. Nop, Abraham accepted Gods word as the truth. The bible says, He considered not the deadness of Sarahs womb...against hope he believed in hope. Romans 4:17-23 Ooh glory, when the pocket says you are broke,the main of faith considers not the deadness of the pocket and declares, All things are mine 1 Cor 3:21 but he that doubt says, ooh i am broke. When all the cells of the body are talking against health, a man of faith considers not the deadness of the nerves and says, BY HIS STRIPES I WAS HEALED THEREFORE AM WALKING. Faith doesnt consider circumstances, faith changes circumstances. We walk by faith not by sight, how? BY STANDING ON GODS WORD. If God said it that settles it. It doesnt matter want is challenging you, you stand to its face, eye-ball to eye-ball,and you say, I SHALL NOT WANT,it doesnt matter the bills are not paid up and the school fees is not paid up, you stand and say I HAVE ALL MY NEEDS MET ACCORDING TO GODS RICHES IN GLORY BY CHRIST JESUS. It doesnt matter the opposition, refuse to look at the waves, they that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercies. Jonah 2. We all face things that challenge our faith but the difference is on WHO STANDS ON GODS WORD.It doesnt matter the pressure ,keep standing. Talk like Paul ,he said in the midst of the storm, Wherefore,be of good cheer brethren for i believe God that it shall be as was told me Acts 27:25. Refuse to change your confession, dont give up, keep talking and in all that dont complain. Like Abraham, give God praise,rejoice and be exceedingly joyful.
