Standard Liege striker, Imoh Ezekiel, on Sunday made history in Belgium when he scored the fastest goal ever in the Jupiler League, futaa reports. Ezekiel helped his club to a 2-0 victory when he scored the opener in the ninth seconds against Genk. And that was his first goal this season. Whilst it may be the fastest goal ever scored in Belgium’s Jupiler League, it is quite a few seconds slower than the fastest ever goals scored in the history of the Beautiful Game. In July, Ezekiel was handed a contract extension that would keep him in Belgium until June 2017. He played a vital role in Standard Liege’s sixth place finish last season, netting 16 times in 33 appearances to place fifth in the league top scorers’ chart.
