Standing in the Storm It was enormous in stature. Breathtaking was its golden yellow and burnt orange leaves. He had always heard of The Magnificent Oak but now that he was standing beneath it he was in awe of its unique beauty. Many a storms had this tree withstood. Winds that would whip right through its branches even at times taking a few down. Rain and snow pelting at its bark, lightening scoring its mark against the tree itself. Seasons of too much rain and yet seasons of drought. Yes, this tree had endured its fair share of many storms. Some brutal and others just enough to leave its lasting mark. Nonetheless, it was still standing! Without a doubt many storms will come up in our lives. Rest assured, they are there to shape and reshape our hearts and our mindsets. Some storms are easy to figure out why we are going through them and others simply have not an explanation. But God has His plan for our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 states For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. How reassuring is our Heavenly Fathers Words to us! Yes, to prosper and give us hope! When the clouds are looming over your soul and mind just remember He has us with a great outcome. Heavenly Father, many times we question the season in our lives. Help us to remember You have us in the palm of Your hand, Your mind is continually on us (Isaiah 49:16) in Jesus name amen.
