Standing on the edge of success, the best is yet to come. At the edge of success I stopped to rest and reflect on lessons learned along the way. As I contemplate the trade-offs made and the price I paid for personal growth, here is what I learned. Human nature is to play first-pay later. Some people even think they can play and never pay. Regardless of what you think, all that you have and everything you do comes with a price. Sooner or later, everyone pays. The question is not if-but when? The difference between successful and unsuccessful people is in their willingness to pay now-play later. Successful people take care of the difficult things first so they can enjoy themselves later. On the edge of success, I stand here blessed, knowing that I have paid the cost. As soon as I catch my breath, I’ll step over the cleft, and walk into a new, higher level, where the best is yet to come.
