Standing on the promises of God!!!! Im going to start something - TopicsExpress

Standing on the promises of God!!!! Im going to start something different this morning - and see how far I can go with it!!! Starting in the OT - Im going to search for a promise and go with it!! Just to see what the Lord has for me :) and then in return, I will share it with you all!!! Well well well look what I see :) (ex6:6> Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments.) My my what a way to start :) I see the word redeem - We truly have a Redeemer in Christ Jesus!! then I see the word judgment - we truly have a Judge and yet we have an Advocate!!! Now by understanding this promise, it was given and made to the Israelites. God committed Himself not only to free them, but to also judge them. Now as I read it once again, I see that the promise reflects a truth about God - that is expressed throughout the whole Bible - that the God who saves also judges. Now for some reason, my thoughts go to a few verses in the Bible that daddy taught about -way back when - I flipped some pages forward and get this - this I started reading :) I do believe there are two up in the balconies of Heaven - trying to show me something or just share the goodness of His Word!!! (deut32:34-36> Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures? To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.)God knows all things and knows all thoughts!!! Now as I studied this out, by claiming this promise, in the experience of this era in the Bible - they called it the Exodus generation. See the deliverance and the oh how shall I put it - the divine judgment - that sounds good ;) they were combined into a single act. See these verses were right about the time - the plagues were all over the place. So the plagues that won Israels freedom also exacted vengeance on the oppressing Egyptians. Now parallel that with today - Today deliverance and vengeance are isolated. Yes God has acted in Christ Jesus, His precious darling only begotten Son. Christ to deliver each one of us as human beings, but God has delayed passing judgment on sinful humanity for 1000s of years. Now if you look into the NT and study it -like you are suppose to (just saying) ;) It warns us all who refuse to repent - that - you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God. (Rm2:5) See the promise of judgment is not one that we are to claim!!! But it is one that we count on. I even thought of another one about judgment in the book of Psalms - still in the OT - check it out, (ps94:1-3) Get this, while judgment is delayed, it is as certain as the redemption God has truly provided for us all, in Christ Jesus!!! With reading these verses again - I flipped to the NT - (2thess1:8-11) check it out - theres some good stuff to chew on this morning!!! No more bottle - give me the meat of His Word!!!! Let me add this verse to it!!!! > > That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. LOVE IT!!! Oh my now by responding to this promise - it should truly comfort each of us to know that we know that we know whatever inequities there are in this life - all will be balanced out by our just and loving God - who sets on His throne!! Oh my the promise that God will repay releases us from the burden of feeling that we must exact personal revenge. In its place we discover a freedom to love even those who make themselves our enemies, and thus be more like our God, who makes His sun shine on both the evil and the good - did I say it the right way?!?! Let me make sure of that and give you the exact words that are written in His Word!! But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. (matt6:44,45) my my my Ive got my work cut out for me - ready to be the servant that HE wants me to be!!!! I will be obedient to His will!!!!
