Standing-room only last night at Park Road Books with old friends and new faces—all of them serious lovers of books. There were so many terrific comments and questions about the BEWILDERMENT OF BOYS. We had a discussion about how characters sometimes transform themselves into imaginary beings and how fiction can transform the writer and the reader back into their younger, more innocent selves.
