Stanford Ranked Top US university On ‘ Forbes ‘ List On 25 July According to the Forbes magazine’s annual ranking of the top U.S. colleges list ,Stanford University in Northern California’s Silicon Valley ranked No. 1 and much smaller Pomona College was in second place.Princeton University in New Jersey slipped to third place, followed by Yale University in Connecticut in fourth place and Columbia University in New York City at No. 5.For the sixth year, Forbes worked with the Center for College Affordability and Productivity in Washington to produce the list.
