Stanley A. Burzak age 81 passed away Tuesday April 29, 2014 at home. Born in Buffalo April 1, 1933 the son of Stanley and Anna (Jerzesky) Burzak. Stan honorably served his country during the Korean War , he was a U.S. Navy Veteran, Stanley was a lineman for NYSEG, he retired in 1994 as Supervising Lineman after 40 years of service A member of St. Josephs RC Church, Stan was also Past Commander of the Little Valley American Legion, Life Member of the James Cruden VFW Post 5007 of Gowanda, The Gowanda Moose Lodge # 1382, The Slovenian Club , Hanover Fish and Game, The Walleye Assoc. of Hamburg and the NRA. Survivors include Dona Sek, Stan and Dona have shared there lives for the past 21 plus years 4 children also survive, Linda Rak , Roger Burzak , Cheryl (Tom) Matern,Susan (Ray) Baker. 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive along with a sister Jeri (Richard) VanEtten of Conn. Friends may call at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda from 2-4 and 7-9 Friday , a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday May 3, 2014 at 1pm (assemble at church, 69 East Main St.). Interment in the Holy Cross Cemetery Gowanda. Memorials may be made to the Gowanda Ambulance Service PO Box 143 Gowanda , NY 14070 or to the Gowanda Youth Footbal PO Box 162 Gowanda, NY 14070
