Stanwick Lakes (near Wellingborough in Northants) - dont bother if youre looking for a nice dog walk with water. I broke a long hot journey to stop here because on the map it shows there are loads of lakes. Its not until you drive through the barrier and are committed to the parking fee that you come across tiny signs saying it is an offence to let dogs off the lead. Gaining my money under false pretences does not make me happy, as I told the Ranger.
