Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Even better than I (dimly) remembered it, though even a Vulcan character stretches Kim Cattralls acting abilities beyond their limits. The subtext that they were all being replaced by Star Trek: The Pepsi Generation is strong; such a shame that fell in a heap and, apart from their rip-off of JMSs spec for Babylon 5, they never did anything worth watching after that. The high point of the series; I suspect apart from #8 itll all be dire viewing from here on. Incidentally, I think the Odd Number Curse is a myth. The good ones are #2, #3, #4, #6 and #8. The really bad ones are #1 and (if I recall correctly) #9 and #10. #5 and #7 are just meh, not actually bad, I think. This hypothesis will be revised in four movies time.
