StarShine Rock and Ride Event Coordinator PO Box 27682 Anaheim, CA 92809 Dear Marketing Manager, I am writing you to consider an opportunity to host a StarShine Rock and Ride Rescue fundraising event at your place of business. StarShine Rock and Ride Rescue is a nonprofit corporation whose mission is to raise funds for families here in the United States who are struggling with living costs. Our motto is “Saving and Changing Lives, One Family at a Time.” StarShine Rock and Ride Rescue is the culmination of the dreams that country music artist and StarShine founder, Mark Connors, has to assist people, especially families with children, based upon his own experiences as a child. Mr. Connors was homeless as a child and young teen and was also the victim of horrific child abuse in foster homes. His experiences served not to break him down, but to forge his dedication to helping people in this world, to prevent them from experiencing what he did: striving to survive, walking endless hours at night when it was too cold to sleep, digging through discarded trash for food, learning to cope with toothaches, injuries and sicknesses on his own, struggling to continue school while being bullied by others who didnt understand why his clothes were worn and never fit or matched. Mark Connors (please visit MarkConnorsCountryMusic) has been hosting and performing at benefit concerts for over 40 years, beginning at age 9 to support the Big Brothers Foundation in Tucson, AZ. He continued on to assist group homes for teens in Southern California, as well as, local homeless family help centers, and now, with his new 53-foot, state-of-the-art mobile sound stage his objective with StarShine Rock and Ride Rescue is to use this traveling “venue” to bring people together for a day of entertainment. At these events, StarShine aspires to raise awareness of the needs of struggling families, and allow event goers to make a personal connection with the sponsored families, so they can see firsthand who/what/how their donations of goods and money are being put to work. The goal of StarShine Rock and Ride Rescue is to rescue families in crisis before they reach the breaking point of losing their homes/cars, by providing enough funds (to cover mortgage/rent, utilities, etc.) and necessities of life (food, clothing, medication) to permit them some breathing room and a chance to refocus their efforts of getting back on their feet. Too often, when money becomes the biggest worry in a household, it becomes hard to focus on a plan of action to get out of the hole and all energy is spent on just trying to survive day-to-day. We at StarShine Rock and Ride Rescue want to help break this cycle. The reason why StarShine Rock and Ride Rescue targets one family at a time, is to be able to make the biggest impact on helping the sponsored family recover and move forward. We are seeking to present a StarShine event at your location. We will bring the entire show to you: 53- foot mobile sound stage and live music entertainment, live internet broadcast, interviews with your sales reps, a place for your company banners, and an edited promotional video of show. The amount to cover our operating costs per event is $5,000. StarShine can only achieve its goals with the assistance of generous donations and support from members of our community.
