Start from where we stopped yesterday, Tuesday 3/9/2013 II. ARE YOU A GOOS SOIL? LUKE 8:4-15. “But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience” Lk8:15. From the passage, God is the sower, the seed is the word of God, the different grounds or soils indicates the reception of the word by different people. Today God is still sowing His word and Sunday school is one of the educational agency which functions are to provide curriculum of Bible study and evangelistic emphasis for all ages through the sowing of the word of God. god is using the ministers, teachers, elders, etc in the Sunday school progremmes to sow His word, but the question is “what is your response to the word of God and Sunday school? Which type of ground or soil are you?” a footpath, stony, thorny or good soil? You need to examine yourself if your heart is not like the good soil, you cannot be productive nor bring any good fruit no matter how you study the word of God. Therefore, allow the word of God you study to sink into your heart and let it rule, guide and control your life. Point of emphasis. Luke.8:15 as quoted above.
