Started Saturday off with The BRDstock (pronounced “birdstock”) Music Festival ( Saturday, September 28, 2013) The festival was held at The BRD House Music and Arts Company, 8379 North Main Street, in the Randolph Shopping Plaza in Clayton, Ohio (a northern suburb of Dayton). Festival hours were from noon until 11:35 pm, with many different performances occurring on three stages. Twenty different musicians or musical groups performed, including the Stillwater River Band, the Community Artist League featuring Dustin Malone and King Koeller, Spiny Norman, Joe and Jack Waters, Matt Donohoo, and Terry Miller and Company. The festival will draw to an end with a “Train Wreck”, which will be a multi-musician jam session led by Spiny Norman and Terry Miller and Company. The festival was a fundraiser for The BRD House Education and Performance Venue and is also part of the BRD House’s outreach to support the “Promotion and Growth of the Arts and Artists”. They will also had raffles, a photo booth, donation tables, and information about educational opportunities through the BRD House and our newest arts initiative, The Community Artist League.
