Started looking back and out of the last 25 days, Jaeton has spent 17 of them in a hospital. We are home for 6 days (hopefully - the cumulative effect of 7 months of chemo are taking a toll on his little body) and then he goes up for one day, then home for 6 more days (again hopefully), then 6 more days of chemo. We are down to two more cycles, surgery, and two more cycles then we WILL be saying he is cancer free! I am thankful for the incredible nurses and doctors who care for him, thankful for the amazing friends and family that help care for my girls when I can not, thankful for the supportive staff at my school who make it possible for me to leave at the drop of a hat and not worry about my students, thankful for the unbelievable kindness of strangers who I can now call friends - people who go out of there way to bring things to someone theyve never met at the hospital, pray, or send well wishes. I am thankful for Jaeton whose strength and courage give me my own strength and courage to keep going. This Christmas season I am celebrating these miracles in my life!
