Started on this back in April this year. Tore the whole car down and went through it. Still have a ways to go on the body and the interior. The cars life started as a 305 (L03) with a 700R4. By the time I got the car the rear end had been replaced with a 4th gen rear with 3.73 gears. Still had the 700R4 but the engine had been replaced with a 92 truck engine with TBI. I tore down the engine and kept the block for now. Its 60 over slugs now make it a 360. Since the 700R4 was being replaced by a T-5 I went with a little larger cam, no need to worry about the stall. 292 int. 305 exh. duration, .488 int. 510 exh. lift with a 114 lobe separation. Thats all being transferred to the valves in a set of World Products Sportsman 2 heads with 2.02/1.60 valves with a 3 angle valve job. 1.5 aluminum roller rockers, guide plates, hardened push rods sitting on flat tappet hydraulic lifters. Topped it off with a Edelbrock Torker ll intake with a 770 cfm Holley Street Avenger. Went with old school accessories brackets, keeping serpentine pulleys, did have to use a mid mount for the alternator to get a good grip on the water pump pulley. Still getting everything wired up the way I want it. Driving the car now to work out any bugs. Running on the stock fuel pump for now, but already have a Holley Blue pump that will be added in later along with a much better ignition system to make the fire. This is not the end of a project, its the beginning of the fun part. Here is a small video made from some of the pictures I took along the way. I will be adding more picture later.
