Starting to feel myself again after 3 weeks and can now negotiate city fairly ok and might even get a scooter. Parents of children at school starting to befriend me and ask me for breakfast at weekends and weather is starting to climb into the 30s which I love. Going to Laos for 3 days next week to get my 12 month visa as have now got a work permit and then we get 2 months paid holiday in march and April and another month in October and then 2 weeks at Xmas and no weekend working at all. Cannot believe how much calmer and peaceful I feel here after 30 years in London despite not really knowing anyone , everyone is so friendly. Might just stay here forever if I can avoid the other ex-pats . If any of you are really fed up of UK and want out then I strongly advise you to invest in a good TEFL course and cut and run. I didnt realise how stressed out i was until I came here. Now Im on the outside looking in it seems so much clearer. life is short and precious and the world, once so large, is now small due to new technology (but Id still hate to paint it!) lots of love xxxxxx
