Starting to see the condemnation of addiction online, in regards to Philip Seymour Hoffman, he brought it on himself etc. Last summer I found my room mate dead in his bedroom, he had died of a heroin overdose. He had been trying hard to stop. Meetings, therapy, medication on top of medications. He was aware of the impact on his family. It caused him great sadness. He was powerless to the strength of the drug that had become his only source of relief, from both physical and mental pain. You cannot judge another person, because we are all different. Those that condemn the choices of others, should have a little compassion and empathy and just count yourselves lucky that you have a thicker skin.
