Starving your body of nutrients for a period of time and then resuming poor eating habits is not called a diet! Sure youve just dropped 5kg maybe even 10kg but your rockin bod just activated all survival mechanisms and has fallen into a catabolic state (using muscle as a fuel source) so instead of feeling/looking energetic, strong and lean youre lethargic, fragile, still dont have a set of abs and youve caused significant metabolic damage making that stubborn belly fat even more stubborn to shed in the future!!!! Alternate that 8-week fad diet for a permanent lifestyle change, cycle the type of foods you eat and keep the metabolism guessing this will keep thyroid activity elevated and leptin levels low. (in laymans terms you store less and burn more)... End rant!
