State Police Investigating Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash on Rt.128 in Woburn This morning at approximately 5:15 a.m., troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Danvers Barracks responded to reports of a single car crash on the Exit 35 (Rt.38) off-ramp from Rt.128 South in Woburn. Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2006 Toyota RAV4 left the paved surface of the off-ramp for unknown reasons and collided with a construction vehicle which was parked off of the roadway. The facts and circumstances remain under investigation with the assistance of troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section. The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 37 year-old Lowell woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Troopers were assisted at the scene by personnel from the Woburn Police Department, Woburn Fire Department and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Highways Division. All lanes were opened at approximately 8:30 a.m.
