State immunization laws require that all students entering 7th grade (CURRENT 6th GRADERS) must have the following immunizations to remain in school: 2 doses of Varicella on/after 1st birthday; 1 dose of Tdap; and 1 dose of Meningococcal. If your student does not have required immunizations, and you would like for them to receive the vaccine at school before May 29, 2014, please contact Michelle Brown, BMS school nurse, at 512 756 6182. Students with private insurance that covers vaccines and students with CHIPs are not eligible for TVFC vaccine. Due to recent changes in the Texas Vaccine for Children program, BCISD will no longer be providing immunizations for students after May 29, 2014. Any TVFC eligible students needing immunizations prior to the new school year will need to contact the campus nurse prior to May 29, 2014.
