State legislative debate in Flagstaff tonight Three of the five candidates running for the Arizona state legislature in Legislative District 6 will be debating each other tonight at 6 p.m. at an event hosted by the Arizona Citizens Clean Elections Commission. Republican incumbent Bob Thorpe and Democrat Lanny Morrison have RSVPd to attend the debate. The two candidates, along with Republican incumbent Brenda Barton who could not attend, will be running for the districts two seats in the state House of Representatives. Independent candidate Tom OHalleran will also attend the debate, but his opponent in the state Senate race, Republican Sylvia Allen will not be in attendance. The event will take place at the DoubleTree hotel, 1175 West Route 66, in Flagstaff.
