State of emergency in Thailand!!! Whose emergency? This is a - TopicsExpress

State of emergency in Thailand!!! Whose emergency? This is a loud question being asked around after the lame-duck Yingluck government has declared a state of emergency effective tomorrow, January 22, and will last 60 days. This is the most ridiculous state of emergency ever imposed in Thailand, particularly more so for the Yingluck administration now labelled illegitimate and devoid of public mandate. For common Thai people, they do not feel any kind of emergency. There are several protest rallies in the city, but they more like gatherings of pop concert fans, a very unique situation given the fact that the country is the venue for mass uprising against the Thaksin-Yingluck regime known as Thaksinister tyrannical clan. It is a joke, of course. The group in charge is headed by the labor minister, instead of somebody more notable and charismatic. Yingluck herself refuses to explain why she did not head the group. We can just assume that she wants her hands off and wants to save her neck when violent crackdowns occurred. More laughable and pathetic is that the council assigned to enforce the emergency decree comprises of politicians and police, without active participation by commanders of the armed forces. This clearly shows that the Thaksin-Yingluck regime does not have support from the military. Therefore, the enforcement will be carried out mainly by the police and whether it will be effective remains to be seen. The protesters now laying siege to the central business district of the capital do not feel perturbed at all. Instead, the protesters and anti-government demonstrators will be more emboldened and determined to step up their actions to topple the despicable regime, not fearing violent crackdown schemed by the tyrannical regime. The state of emergency reflects another level of panicky response to the increasingly forceful citywide anti-government rallies and actions to shut down state offices, rendering them unworkable and inoperable. We want to tell the world again that the days of Thaksinister are numbered. They are desperate and ranting like a cornered rat. A countdown has begun for the ouster of Thaksin-Yingluck regime. The count will not take long, we reckon. https://facebook/Newshourweekend/posts/524362490995844?stream_ref=10
