State of my Mind: I woke up this morning to read about the untimely death of Dr Adadevoh due to Ebola. Its like she shielded Nigeria from being wiped out and paid the ultimate price but is Nigeria worth dying for? Though a very painful loss to her family and teeming admirers, without doubt, her name is now boldly written on the marble of history. It is not how long but how well is ones passage through this life. RIP. Now, our Chibok girls are still missing,128 days after the abduction. Nobody is talking about #BringBackOurGirls any more except few voices that have remained adamant. For the majority, the music has stopped and Nigeria has moved on! So is the Federal government that is charged with the responsibility to protect you and I. Nigeria has moved on o but jammed with a bigger monster- Ebola!!!. Whish one concern dem with Chibok girls again Abegi Na conspiracy, Make we hear word. Its about 2015. When I hear all these insensitive and selfish remarks I get frustrated! Over the course of the #BBOG of which you all know that I am deeply involved and with the conviction that we as a nation must demand for transparency in governance from our elected political office holders, I have taken a deep breathe and looked at this boko haram insurgency. What did I see? I came to the conclusion that we have not even bothered to look at the root cause of this wahala that is about to consume us if care is not taken. We are all jaundiced with religious yellow fever and refused to consider that there could be something more to the root cause of this national calamity. Frankly speaking, I am on the same page with Udoka Okafor (see his post -The Nigerian Government is a greater threat to its people than Boko haram on Sahara reporters 18/8/14 and I quote him Religion is the ideology that fuels their (boko haram) insurgency movement, but illiteracy, and their frustrations regarding political corruption in Nigeria are the root issues that unite their base. Think about it. I rest my case. Have a good morning.
