Statement by LSP Director Matt Angle: “Greg Abbott and his allies are in a cold-sweat panic over Wendy Davis raising $12.2 million dollars during the past 6 months and demonstrating that she will have the money needed to expose Abbott as a self-serving insider politician who has failed Texas. Wendy raised $8.5 million into the Wendy Davis for Governor account and $3.7 million into a another account which is being used to build a grassroots infrastructure and mobilize voters crucial for Wendy or any other Democrat to win statewide. Obviously, $8.5 million plus $3.7 million equals $12.2 million. That’s not fuzzy math, it’s 2nd grade arithmetic – which apparently is a challenge to Greg Abbott and his allies.”
