Statement by Provincial Secretary Songezo Mjongile: The ANC Unequivocally rejects the Irresponsible Statements made by Andile Lili that accuses the ANC leadership, particularly the Provincial Deputy Chairperson Abe Bekeer, The Provincial Secretary Songezo Mjongile, Provincial Executive Committee Member Siyazi Tyatyam and Regional Treasure Patrick Mgxunyeni of directly or indirectly being involved and/ responsible for his unfortunate shooting incident. In the event that Lili holds specific information about those responsible for his unfortunate shooting, it would be responsible of him to share that information with the police. The interest of Justice that he rightfully deserves will not be solved by making wild statements that are devoid of any truth. What will assist in bringing those responsible for his shooting to book will be for Lili to stand up and provide the facts of whatever kind he may be privy to, honestly, to the authorities. As the ANC however we will not stand the frivolous accusations that seek to defame the characters of our leaders. As a result we are seeking legal advice from our lawyers on how best to proceed with this matter in order to protect the integrity of our organization and its leaders.
