Statement from Leannes Family - As you can imagine, we are disappointed that today’s extensive search of the Garden Ridge area failed to lead to give us any more information as to Leanne’s whereabouts. On the other hand, the fact that she was not found encourages us to believe that she still survives and will eventually be reunited with us. We still do not know what happened to her once she began her walk from the Bearden home in Garden Ridge. We also encourage anyone who might have any information about her location to contact the Garden Ridge police at 210-651-6441 or their local police department. We also wish to thank the Texsar Search and Recovery Team and all the other agencies involved in today’s search. We certainly have a new appreciation of the work that you do in helping families such as ours to find missing loved ones. We have not given up hope of finding Leanne. Today’s search only shows us that we must continue our efforts and expand our possibilities of where she may be found. We intend to work with the Heidi Search Center in continuing our efforts to find Leanne until we are successful in doing so. We deeply appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. The outpouring of support has boggled our minds and increased our faith in the goodness of mankind. We are going to take a day or two to process what has happened and to plan our next moves. But we will never give up on Leanne.
