Statement issued from Town of Lancaster Supervisor Dino Fudoli - TopicsExpress

Statement issued from Town of Lancaster Supervisor Dino Fudoli about 10 minutes ago: I just got off the phone with Dan Amatura the highway superintendent and he said their goal is to have at least one lane plowed on each street in the town by the end of the night. As of right now we have all our equipment out on the roads with 2 highlifts from Clarence and 2 from Grand Island. Along with a handful of local construction companies. So we are running at the absolute fastest pace we can physically go. Keep in mind the snow is too deep to plow and a highlift is required to clear a path. At this moment we probably have approx. 15 of them out on the roads. The biggest problem is cars that have ignored the driving ban and got stuck and literally stopped our efforts on many streets in the town. So please if you read this message I am again requesting everyone sit tight and stay home unless it is an extreme emergency. In that case please call 911 and we will send an emergency vehicle with a highlift. Thank you for your patience.
