Status: Surgery at Akademiska in Uppsala went well, and I was up walking long stretches already the next day. Unfortunately, I got a new infection in the wound after a few days, which has set me back a little. But after one and a half week its giving way, and the sutures held. Painful and icky, but endurable. These have undoubtedly been the longest three months of my life, but Im starting to see some sort of end to it all now, even if the coming weeks/months will be filled with rehabilitation, regaining mobility, muscles and energy, not to mention mental sanity (not that I know if I ever had much of that to start with), before our lives can kick back into normality (again, not sure we ever had much of that either). I might have been absent in your lives these last months, but you have not been absent in mine, and for that I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
