Stay classy, OkCupid. No matter how you feel about Brendans actions regarding Prop 8, calling for a Mozilla boycott is pretty dumb and short-sighted. Mozilla is a non-profit organization whose sole goal is to ensure a free and open web in the face of large commercial interests trying to control the web for their own vertical silos. This is what Brendan stood for when he helped create Mozilla and Im pretty sure its what he stands for now as a CEO, regardless of his personal beliefs and political actions. But more than that, telling your users to go switch to a non-free, non-open alternative is a slap in the face of everybody who helped get the web and Mozilla to where it is now. I feel your frustration, OkCupid, but this is not the way to do it. The classier way would be to ask your users to co-sign an open letter to Brendan and/or Mozilla.
