Staying away from Wickedness A quick-tempered person does foolish - TopicsExpress

Staying away from Wickedness A quick-tempered person does foolish things, and the one who devises evil schemes is hated. Proverbs 14:17 A quick tempered person has their mind and heart saturated in anger and do not have the capacity to think logically. It usually is sparked when something does not happen instantaneously or something is not working the way it should. The first reaction is to become frustrated which leads to anger. This kind of behavior leads to foolish actions. The reason the acts are foolish is there is not enough space to think them through because the temper is speaking. Planning wicked schemes is something most of us probably do not sit around and think about. However, we may be surrounded by those who do so. We need to remember their end result is a place we do not want to go. We do not want to travel the road with those who are planning evil schemes. Most of the people are often hated and many of them could be well known leaders. Some of us could be in a workplace where the leader we are asked to follow practices evil ways. Solomon would ask us not to be naïve to the practices of those around us. We may be asked to walk beside people but we certainly are not to participate. We are to meet people where they are and offer them a different way. We can see the scheme but we offer a different road. We are called to love which may seem soft but it is difficult to love those who are devising evil. Solomon is asking us to steer clear of participating with any evil scheme and to keep our heart from becoming quick tempered. These two practices will end in death. There is no good fruit to be harvested in either of these behaviors. Today in the workplace How do you choose the road you will travel?
