Stearman N75052 at Palm Springs Air Museum, Ca., in October 2001, scan of a colour print. Not a VCLA type but Martin 404 N636X in the background was the last airworthy example of the type, unless one of those held in US museums is restored, and was being used to take a group of British enthusiasts on an aerial cruise of the US Southwest. It is now grounded and exhibited at the Planes of Fame Museum, Valle, Arizona near the south rim of the Grand Canyon.
