Steel cut oats Porridge. Steel cut oats differ from old fashioned rolled oats in only one way: Steel cut are not rolled flat into. Regularly eating steel cut oats gives you health benefits they are a bit lower in calories than traditional old fashioned rolled oats, but theyre equal in protein, fat, calcium, iron, and they have identical Carb count too, hardly any sugar here ! Steel- cut oats sit lower on the Glycemic index. I cooked them for 30 min in water, then I put some almond milk or any plant- based milk could be fine, then I add one of my favorite toppings, roasted almond in a little coconuts oil, fresh raspberries (bluberries, blackberries are fine too), slices banana, plums and enjoy it !!!!!
