Step II Productions is will be holding auditions for a staged reading of SANCTUARY, an original work by Val Valdez. The reading will take place in Levittown, PA at Step II Productions on Sunday, March 1. Selected readers will be expected to attend a rehearsal that same day 11:30-3PM. Staged reading will take place at 4PM. Readers must be able to attend rehearsal as well as performance. The public will be invited to attend. Role Breakdown Father Michael Santor: 30’s. Devoted priest eager to prove his loyalty to the Archbishop. Emil Jaeger: 20’s. German architect who opposes his role in the Final Solution. Leah Ginsberg: 20’s. Emil’s defiant pregnant Jewish lover, and a Resistance member. Major Joseph Vogel: 40’s . Relentless yet ailing Gestapo officer who hunts Emil. Karl Burgmuller: 50’s. Resistance member who runs a safe house. Sophie Mayer: 20’s. Gestapo secretary.
