Step up to the plate! Take responsibility for something! Quit procrastinating. The Lord was constantly telling His disciples to step up! They, over and over, failed miserably. They didnt even take responsibility to wash their own feet. They instead let the King of Kings do the work of a common household servant. Usually if someone refuses to step up, there is a much bigger and deeper problem. Even though you cannot wash away your own sins, you could carry His cross. Instead of following at a distance, they (and you) could have stepped up and given their efforts in the heat of the moment. But they didnt. Jesus led the way by washing the disciples feet. He showed them to step up you gotta step down. So He knelt and washed their feet.....NOT bending down.....but KNEELING down. He knelt down when He left Heaven and became a man. He knelt down in the pressure of Gethsemane. He knelt down when He carried His cross. Man had no idea how much they raised Him up when they nailed Him down! He stooped so we could stand. He was not ashamed and yet took our shame. By His death, He made us great. He gave you grace so He could be in your reality.....so He could take your hand and raise you up. It is time to kneel down so you can step up! Cmon man!
