Steph Curry Finger-roll Floater Series: @wardell30 is the best in the game at hittin this scoop shot/finger-roll floater...by far one of my favorite players on the court right now, @wardell30 has so many different dimensions to his game. He has used this finger-roll floater multiple times over the past few games, but this move that he used against the Rockets a couple days ago showcases how much Stephs shot creates for him...knowing how lethal he can be coming over screens going into his shot, opponents are forced to be conscientious of the on-ball. This distraction gives Steph the ability to turn-down a lot of screens and cross a lot of people up in the process...his finger-roll floater is made possible by his momentum and arc. Understanding that a tall help-side defender is coming to try to block him, he attacks the cup with strong progressive momentum and relies on the height of his arc rather than his physical elevation. He then gently kisses the ball off the glass at its highest point (sometimes as the ball is coming slightly down) to make sure it doesnt hit too hard and bounce straight off.
