Stephanie Cunningham has assigned me number 10 so here goes....10 things you probably dont know about me (in random order). 1. My mother was told she could not have children. My mother was a very determined woman...my parents were married 19 years before I was born! 2. My brother, my only sibling, was born 2 1/2 years later. 3. We grew up without running water, indoor plumbing, or electricity. 4. As a youngster, my dad let me go to the co-op with him to pick out the chicken feed sacks which I made into my dresses on a peddle sewing machine. 5. As a teen-ager, I enjoyed sewing for myself in 4-H and was the KY Clothing Champion in 1960. (Much nicer fabrics by then!). 6. The most important garment I ever made was my wedding dress; it was made of white velvet for our January 31, 1963 wedding and had 32 tiny hand-covered buttons up the back. 7. My first big-girl job was teaching biology at Calloway County High where I had a rabbit named Rufus who roamed the halls at will, and a hog-nosed snake named Homer who sometimes slept in my sleeve! 8. While Woody was in the Army, we spent 3 years in Berlin Germany. Our Roger was born there, 2 1/2 years after Melissas birth at Ft Rucker AL. 9. While stationed at Ft Knox, I was elected mayor of the Van Voorhis community. 10. Our return to Murray was our 20th move. OK, Like this and I will assign you a number! :)
