Stephen Ames’ genesis began in complete obscurity. Simply put, just a dot on the map. In his native island of Trinidad & Tobago, he grew up in a West Indian culture that when you’re an hour late, you’re actually 10 minutes early. This mindset was in complete juxtaposition with his chosen path, a sport where 10,000 hours of practice is only the beginning. Without any role models or living examples of success to pull from, he grinded his way off the island. His apprenticeship was filled with obstacles and self-doubt - first the mini-tours of North America, then to Europe and eventually - the PGA TOUR.
