Stephen Paul Phillips Obituary: Stephen Paul Phillips 36, of Brockway Township died very unexpectedly Saturday, November 30, 2013. He was born November 16, 1977 in Lapeer the son of Rev. Hal Phillips and Sally Jensen. His marriage to Karen Chalmers was December 24, 2005 at Zion United Methodist Church, Capac. Stephen was employed as a truck driver for Good Luck Refrigeration Service, Ray Twp. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Capac, enjoyed University of Michigan Football, and loved being a husband and father. Surviving in addition to his wife Karen of seven years are their two children, Gage and Braxtyn Phillips; parents, Rev. Hal and Rev. Kathy Phillips of Grand Blanc and Sally Jensen of Port Huron; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Karen Wood of Brown City, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah and Tom Haneline of Blissfield and Stephanie and Ryan Jager of Brown City; mother and father-in-law, Roger and Alice Chalmers of Capac and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins and friends. The family honors the memory of Stephen and invite you to visit and share memories Thursday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Zion United Methodist Church, Capac, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Rev. Lisa Clark, pastor and good friend, will officiate. In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to “Wishes of the Family”.
