Steph’s Stuff 09-29-13 (Incredible Trust) ‘Incredible’ and ‘trust’ are opposite ideas, yet in order to accept my purpose in life that is exactly what He asks of me. “He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time…” 2 Timothy 1:9 Before I was formed in my mother’s womb, before ANY human beings lived on this earth, He gave us grace. He knew us intimately—and He loved us! Isn’t that incredible? Isn’t that something that could only come from a place we cannot fathom—and will not fathom until we join Him in eternity? “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”—John 17:3 When we can realize that trust, we can face tomorrow. We can trust, beyond any logical reason, that we will have eternal life. I want that. Don’t you? There is work to do. He put us here and called us to a holy life. Because of His purpose and grace, He equips us to bring others to that place of incredible trust. While the enemy does his best to distract and discourage us, we need only call on Jesus to give us the boldness and passion and love to be His hands and feet. Brains and brawn. Compassionate ears and hardworking physical presences—showing others that we march to a different beat, a beat that keeps us moving forward, when the world tries its best to pull us back. Woo HOO! Now THAT is incredible! Don’t take my word for it. I can only tell you what I know for myself—and as He continues to inspire me, my passion to share this news with the world gets bigger and bigger every single day. The more I trust Him, the more He shows me that trust is not in vain. It is not a candy-coated crutch. It is a palpable, increasingly innate part of who I am. Less of me, more of Him—and I pray this will continue every day of my life. I pray that for you too! Don’t trust me—trust HIM! Because when you do, the benefits of that trust will allow you to know incredible, saving concepts that can only come from the Highest place. It’s incredible. But there is no better way. Truly, there is no OTHER way-to be happy in Jesus—than to trust and obey. Fondly, Stephanie
