Stepping away from the snow for a minute. After our clipper system moves through, a dangerous situation is setting up for most of the area. I have highly advertised this for several days now, but feel its worth repeating. The wind is going to pick up during the day tomorrow. The snow that does fall tonight with be very fine and powdery. Wind + powdery snow = problems for motorists, pedestrians, or anyone caught outdoors. At times ground blizzard conditions may occur when the wind transports snow and causes white-out conditions much like a dust storm in the desert. If the wind wasnt grand enough, the cold hits even harder. Highs struggle to get above zero tomorrow and will remain below zero on Wednesday. Dangerous, life-threatening cold to those people not prepared for the elements outdoors. Dont forget about your pets too! So while the snow may be winding down tomorrow, the assault from Old Man Winter continues.
