Sterlite Technologies launches 3 bend-insensitive fibres Sterlite Technologies Ltd has launched three bend-insensitive optical fibres, most suitable for fibre to the home applications, the company said in a statement today. The fibres will be available under the new brand BOW LITE SUPER (G.657 B3), and improved versions BOW LITE PLUS (G.657 A1) and BOW LITE ENHANCED (G.657 A2.B2). "The use of bend insensitive G.657 fibres in FTTH (fibre to the home) installations is required as carriers have to contend with tight power budgets and uncertain deployment conditions needing healthy safety margins," said Sterlite Technologies. Fibre to the Home provides fibre connectivity along with unlimited bandwidth and state-of-the-art technology for fix access platforms. It provides a comprehensive solution for the internet protocol leased line, internet, video conferencing and video calls, among other things.
